    Travelling to Copenhagen

    Pre-Conference 16 November · Conference & Expo 17–19 November 2026

Welcome — we're glad you're joining us in Copenhagen. This page pulls together the official Danish and EU resources you'll need to plan your trip. Because entry requirements depend on your citizenship, please review the links below and confirm your specific situation directly with the Danish authorities or your nearest Danish embassy or consulate.

Please note: SAPinsider does not issue visa invitation letters for Copenhagen 2026. Your paid registration confirmation, along with your hotel booking and return travel itinerary, is the documentation attendees typically use when applying. If you require any additional supporting documentation, please consult the official Danish resources linked below.

    Step 1

Check whether you need a visa

Denmark is part of the Schengen Area. Depending on your citizenship, you may be able to enter visa-free for a short stay, or you may need to apply for a short-stay Schengen visa in advance. Check the official list below to confirm your situation.

Attending a professional conference falls under the business visit category on Denmark's official immigration site.

    Step 2

If you need a visa, apply through the official portal

All Schengen visa applications for Denmark are submitted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs online system.

Apply here: ApplyVisa – Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs

    • Standard fee: €90 for adults; €45 for children aged 6–11 (plus a service fee from the visa outsourcing partner in your country)
    • Where to apply: At the Danish embassy, consulate, or authorized visa center in your country of residence
    • When to apply: As early as possible. Processing times and submission windows are set by the Danish authorities — please check the ApplyVisa portal and your local Danish embassy or consulate for current timelines.

    Step 3

If you're visa-exempt, check ETIAS before you travel

The European Union is rolling out ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System), a new electronic pre-registration required for visa-exempt travelers entering the Schengen Area. It is not yet in operation and the EU has not confirmed a launch date at the time this page was published.

Check the official status closer to your travel dates: Official EU ETIAS site

    • Fee (when live): €20 application fee, per the official EU page
    • Who it applies to: Visa-exempt travelers entering the participating European countries

If ETIAS is in effect by November 2026, you'll need to complete it online before boarding your flight. We'll update this page and email registered attendees if the timing changes.
